TDV: One of the great things about you and your site is that you and your Master live the BDSM lifestyle; you are not a vanilla model doing bondage shots because there's money in it. Tell me, how did you get started with fetish modeling?
PJ Myst: Master and I were at a local play party and Lew Rubens and Maria Shadoes From Boundndetermined were there and Lew had suspended Maria. I was so fascinated that when they were done Maria approached me and asked if I would like to try... What a silly question. Of course I did. So up I went. I was one of their first models and Maria and I became fast friends and she encouraged me to model for others and it took off.

TDV: First models at Boundndetermined?
PJ Myst: Yes when we met Lew and Maria it was in Feb. They didn't put up their website www.boundndetermined.com until April.

TDV: I attended a bondage seminar Lew put on at Bondcon this year. They are a very dynamic couple. Maria is sooooo flexible.
PJ Myst: That's right - and yes that woman can bend in positions that I am sure would break most people.

TDV: You do shoots with your Master, you do shoots with your friends Lew Rubens and Maria Shadoes, and you do shoots with other photographers. How are they different from each other?
PJ Myst: When Master and I work together it is a real scene and we just take photos or videos of it. With Lew and Maria it is also more on a personal level because we all are so close and we tend to cut loose and just be ourselves. With all others it is more business. Not that I don't have a great time I love being tied, but it doesn't have as personal of a feel. But that, I have learned, comes with time, and of course, trust.

TDV: Do you go to shoots alone or does Master Phil accompany you?
PJ Myst: Master is always with me. Making sure that no one breaks His toy.

TDV: You do both photography and video. Do you have a preference? Does one format appeal to you more than the other?
PJ Myst: It depends really on what we are doing. If it is just a tie or suspension I like the photos of that but if you add spanking or anything else that makes me squeal I prefer video.

TDV: Do you ever forget you are modeling when you are all trussed up, get lost in the bondage?
PJ Myst: Yes I do, only with my Master and Lew. But I so love the feel of the ropes that I do tend to forget and just fly.

TDV: You say fly and I think of your suspension bondage - a bit of a double entendre there...
PJ Myst: The tighter the bondage the quicker it happens too. And yes it was. *g*

TDV: What are your favorite positions to be bound in?
PJ Myst: Inverted suspensions are my favorite of the suspensions. For the more common type ties my favorite is a tight hog tie with my hair pulled back hard into my feet. But it has to be tight and inescapable. *G*. If I can get out I will.

TDV: Can you share a comical moment you've experienced while modeling, a video blooper?
PJ Myst: LOL Master and I were doing our first custom shoot. We didn't have anyone to videotape for us so we set the camera up on the tripod. Master was supposed to catch me off guard while I was dressing, grab me and throw me on the bed. What He did was grab me, but somehow His feet tangled with mine and we fell instead. All I could think as it happened was what a great abductor my Master was.

TDV: Do you have a shoot that you are 'most' proud of?
PJ Myst: The one I am most proud of was a kneeling suspension with nipple clamps and chains hanging from each one of my rings. It was one of those that really tested my endurance. And my pain level!

TDV: I think we happen to have a picture of that shoot if my memory serves me correctly.
PJ Myst: It is probably one of my shoots.. Master got His tears and I endured yet again.

TDV: I'm looking at the shot right now - you look...um...uncomfortable to say the least.
PJ Myst: I was very uncomfortable. But then again that is the way we like it.

TDV: Now this next question...you might have already answered, but I'm going to ask it anyway.
PJ Myst: OK

TDV: What has been your most difficult bondage shoot?
PJ Myst: The most difficult was the kneeling suspension. As you guessed.
TDV: Yes, I thought as much.

TDV: Where would you say your main interest in BDSM lies? Are you a masochist? Are you more into D/s? Bondage?
PJ Myst: Serving my Master is number one there. I guess you could say that I am a masochist, although two years ago I recall saying "no pain", I don't like pain. I have since learned that I do. Our relationship is total D/s, we both function best that way. As for the activities bondage is my favorite because it is a physical way of Master being in TOTAL control. I am a submissive by nature and am most content serving.

TDV: What is life like at home for PJ when the cameras are off and it is just you and your Master?
PJ Myst: There are rules of course but good ones. The only thing I wear around the house is Master's collar. I am not allowed to sit on the furniture, always at Masters feet. (The best seat in the house!) Master has total control. When He asks for something it is done without question. I also sleep cuffed at night.

TDV: Are you allowed to use the furniture when you are alone?
PJ Myst: No not at all. I also greet Master by kneeling when he walks through the door. Take off His shoes and rub His feet.

TDV: Please tell me you are sitting on a chair now. (nb to readers - this interview is being conducted via a chat program on the computer)
PJ Myst: LOL when I am at the computer or eating I can sit in a chair.
TDV: LOL I'm glad to hear that.

TDV: There is a lot of debate that goes on about whether BDSM has to include sex or not. For you, is it part of your sexuality? I'm talking when you are not modeling.
PJ Myst: I don't believe that it has to be for everyone. But for me it is. In fact before I came to serve my Master sex was not on my list of fun things to do. Now it's like an addiction and I can't seem to get enough. This is one of those points that after two years it still surprises me.

TDV: So the whole BDSM lifestyle, is relatively new to you?
PJ Myst: Yes it is. I have only lived the lifestyle for two years. Before that I spent about a year and a half reading everything I could get my hands on about it. The Internet was a big help there.

TDV: And you met your Master via the net didn't you?
PJ Myst: This is her Master speaking.... yes she did.

TDV: Hello Master Phil, thank you for letting me take so much of PJ's time tonight.
PJ Myst: It's very good for her to get the exposure that this interview will give her. She deserves that. (PJ is back.)

PJ Myst: And in answer to your question yes I met Him through ICQ
TDV: Through ICQ? Wow! I think it is great that you can say you met via the net. The Internet has opened up the way we meet and communicate with people - so to hear that yes it really does happen - I think that is something that TDV readers would like to hear.
PJ Myst: I personally never would have thought I would meet my Master online but I did.

TDV: The last couple years have brought you more than one surprise hmm?
PJ Myst: Several. But all of them were good surprises. Master has taught me a lot. We spent months online and hours on the phone talking before I was comfortable enough to travel out here and meet Him.

TDV: I take it you made the ultimate move.
PJ Myst: I came out for 11 days in March of 2001 so we could meet each other and see if we were compatible in person. The hardest thing I ever had to do in my life was to leave. But we decided that Master would come and pick me up in June. We never did make it to June. I ended up moving out here in April. The phone bills were outrageous.

TDV: You have both a discussion group on Yahoo and a member's site. Tell us about them both, if our readers want to join either, what will they see?
PJ Myst: My yahoo group gives my fans the chance to communicate with me and see the updates that are happening on our member's site. It also gives people the chance to share their photos, stories and just plain info. Our member's site (pjmyst.com) contains photo galleries and video clips that range from simple ties to some pretty intense scenes. We update every two weeks with at least 100 photos per update. And if possible I like to include at least a two-minute video clip. One of the things that we really enjoy in both cases is feedback from members.

TDV: And you have a "token" system available as well for your member's site correct?
PJ Myst: Currently I post part of some of my galleries at tokentown.com I like the token system because it allows the viewers an opportunity to see a variety of images at a small fee. We liked it so much that we are in the process of starting our own token site, (Link: http://www.fetishtimetokens.com), which we hope to have up and running in the next month. Although we are offering bondage it will be a bit more edgy because we are pushing more towards the fetish side. We hope to include more of the pain and torture Master/slave things.

TDV: As you know, TDV is an ezine for dominants, so while I have you here I'd like to ask you. What do you think is important for a dominant to know, are there skills or traits that you believe help make up a 'good' Dom?
PJ Myst: Communication and honesty I believe that if a Master can give these things He will not only receive them in return but He will also get unquestionable obedience, respect and trust.
