Work for TDV

Jay Moyes has been drawing since he could remember, and turned his pen to fetish when he was in college in 1992. The San Francisco leather scene at that time provided inspiration that remains to this day. "There was a lot of overlap where people weren't just into one thing. A Bay Area kinkster didn't just get off at five and go to the leather bar. Neo-Paganism, Transgenderism, Science Fiction, and Fantasy still cross into the SF scene."

Much of Moyes' artwork brings in that crossover, and it's getting a new love from his day work. Originally a pen and ink artist, some of his work has been going back for color. "I have about six years experience in Photoshop, and it feels good to finally spend some time getting back to illustration. With photos, you have a given starting point of the photo, where you can add tone and focus. The ending point is usually within reality. With illustration in color, you go from zero to infinity from the tips of your fingers."

Jay Moyes currently lives in the suburbs of Los Angeles and writes several columns on BDSM events. His work can be found at http://www.jaymoyes.com.
